Italian Greyhound Club of America. Our mission is to preserve
and protect the unique qualities of our breed and to share our
knowledge with
others.
We hope this web site is helpful to you. We have a lot of information
about Italian greyhounds: How and where to obtain an IG, how
to care for and train your IG and sporting activities you can share
with your IG.
We are a member
club of the American Kennel Club. The IGCA is what is known in
the dog world as the "parent" or National breed" club
for Italian greyhounds.
In addition to educating the public about the breed,
two
of the IGCA's main functions are rescue and health research. Be sure
to check out our merchandise offerings and use our affiliated vendors
so we can continue to fund
these worthwhile projects.

Calling all IG owners!

Keep in mind that it's just as important to find out how many IGs out there have no health problems as it is to find the types and frequency of diseases in our breed. Your privacy is protected, your information is seen only by the researchers: the IGCA Health Committee will only get the statistics.
